At Sonic Entanglements Thijs is responsible for publishing web content on this website. He also works as the editor of the Sonic Entanglements Podcast.
Graduated from the Conservatory of Amsterdam in 2017, Thijs is active as a freelance jazz trumpet player, music educator and composer, mainly in the Amsterdam area. He is a member of some bigbands and small ensembles and he was part of the touring production ‘Annie de Musical’. In 2021 the album ‘Hookin’ Up’ came out on which he performed as a member of the Red Light Jazz Society and for which he provided one of his compositions. Currently he is working on interdisciplinary concerts, exploring the relationship between poetry and jazz and improvised music.
